Parents are the first and foremost catechists of their children. Our Faith Formation programs for children and youth in grades 1-10 hope to instill Catholic values and teach a love of Christ and Church. Our programs will be successful only if “church” is present also in the home. We strive to offer opportunities for spiritual growth and sacramental preparation for all of our parish family. The task of the Faith Formation programs are to support and encourage parents while providing accurate church teachings.

Children/Youth Sacramental Preparation
First Reconciliation/First Holy Communion
Children in their second year of Faith Formation begin preparing for the reception of the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Eucharist, which is usually during the second grade.
- If your child is in need of the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Communion and has already completed a year of formal faith formation, please be sure to register your child for Faith Formation.
- Next, attend the Parent/Child meeting for your registered Faith Formation day and time on either Tuesday, September 9th, 2014 or Wednesday, September 10th, 2014 for more information concerning Sacramental Preparation requirements.
Within the Diocese of Venice the preparation for the celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation is a two year process beginning in the ninth grade and culminating with the reception of the Sacrament at the end of tenth grade.
- If your child is in need of the Sacrament of Confirmation, please be sure to register your youth for Faith Formation.
- Then, be sure to attend the Parent Meeting on Sunday, October 5th following the 5:00pm Mass (approx. 6:15pm); please register in advance of September so you receive other important notices concerning youth group meetings.
