Growing Into Christ Parish Leadership Team, Financial Advisory Committee

There is to be established in each parish, according to the norms of canon law, a parish Finance Committee to assist the pastor who is the administrator of the goods of the parish (Canon 537). The Finance Committee shall operate under the provisions identified herein. The Parish Finance Committee shall meet a minimum of 4 times per year. Written minutes of its meetings are to be maintained in the parish office.

 

General Functions of the Parish Finance Committee:

It is the function of the Parish Finance Committee to assist the Pastor in the administration of the goods of the parish by the following actions:

  1. To review and coordinate the parish annual budget in consultation with other groups and in accordance with the goals set by the Parish Pastoral Council;
  2. To review the quarterly financial reports to the Diocese and to formulate the annual report made to the Parish community;
  3. To review periodically the revenue and expenditures in light of the annual budget.
