Parish Council

The Revised Code of Canon Law [Canon 536] allows the establishment of an advisory pastoral council, representative of the whole parish in its membership, to assist the Pastor in planning, coordinating, guiding and directing all aspects of parish life. The Parish Advisory Council – PAC – is the principal advisory board to the Pastor on all non-financial matters affecting the life of the Parish.

The objective of the Council is to discern, implement, and review parish programs involving social, community, and infrastructure concerns that require consideration or attention. PAC possesses a consultative vote-only, and is governed by the norms established by the diocesan bishop. [Canon 536 § 2]. The Council’s main purpose is to advise the Pastor on directions of the Parish, to serve in the attainment of Parish goals and as a catalyst for development, and to provide lay feedback to the staff and ministry directors regarding comments, suggestions, or concerns raised by various members of the parish community. Our Parish Advisory Council consists of 12 recognized leaders of our community.
